For businesses
Advertise on B2C NEXUS
Reach people who are already looking for what you do — in your city, in your category, at the moment they are searching.
How it works
- 1
Tell us where you want to appear
A city page, a category page, the home page, or beside search results. You can combine a city and a category — plumbers in Mississauga, for example.
- 2
Send your artwork
An image and the web address it should link to. The sizes are below. Anything over 400KB, or in the wrong format, is refused before it goes anywhere.
- 3
We check it
Every ad is reviewed by a person before it runs. We will come back to you if something needs changing rather than quietly rejecting it.
- 4
It runs, and you can see what it did
Sign in to your listing and you will see how often your ad was shown and how many people clicked it. The same numbers we see.
Where ads appear, and what size to send
Send your artwork at exactly the size shown. Our system checks the dimensions of the file you upload, so a file at the right size is accepted without any back and forth.
| Where | Desktop | Mobile |
|---|---|---|
| Homepage bannerDirectly below the search bar on the home page. The most seen slot on the site. | 970 × 250 | 320 × 100 |
| Category bannerTop of a category page. Sold per category, so a plumber reaches people looking for plumbers. | 970 × 250 | 320 × 100 |
| City bannerTop of a city page. Sold per city. | 970 × 250 | 320 × 100 |
| In-results panelBetween listing cards in search results. Clearly labelled, never styled as a listing. | 728 × 90 | 320 × 100 |
| Profile panelOn a business profile page. Never sold to a direct competitor of the profile it sits on. | 300 × 250 | 300 × 250 |
| Sidebar (desktop only)Beside search results on wide screens. There is no room for it on a phone, so it never renders there. | 300 × 600 | Not shown on mobile |
Most slots show a different shape on a phone than on a computer, so two files are usually needed. If you only send one, it runs on the screen size it fits and simply does not appear on the other.

Why it costs so little
B2C NEXUS is new. We are not going to pretend the audience is bigger than it is, and these prices reflect that rather than what an established directory charges. What you do get is a slot on the page for your city or your trade, and a report showing exactly how many times your ad was shown and clicked — the same numbers we see, not a summary we wrote. Prices will rise as the audience does, and anyone already advertising keeps the price they started at.
Artwork specification
Give this section to whoever makes your artwork. Following it means your ad is accepted the first time.
- File format
- PNG, JPEG or WebP. PNG is best for artwork with text or flat colour; JPEG for photographs.
- Colour profile
- sRGB. Not CMYK — CMYK is for print, and a browser cannot display it correctly. Colours will look washed out or wrong.
- Size on disk
- Up to 400KB. If a photograph comes out larger, save it as a JPEG at around 80% quality.
- Dimensions
- Exactly the pixel size in the table above. Not inches, not centimetres — screens work in pixels, and there is no DPI setting that matters here.
- Animation
- None. Still images only, so the page stays calm and loads quickly.
- Where it links
- A full web address starting with https:// — your website, or a specific page for the offer.
- Description
- One line describing the ad, read aloud to anyone using a screen reader. For example: “Spring sale — 20% off furnace servicing”.
- Text size
- Keep important words large and away from the edges. A banner shrinks on smaller screens, and small text becomes unreadable.
The two mistakes we see most often
Print files. A file made for a printer is usually CMYK at 300dpi and far too large. Ask for “RGB, for web, at 970 by 250 pixels”.
A logo instead of an ad. A logo stretched to fill a wide banner looks wrong. An ad needs a short message and a reason to click.
What we will and will not run
Accepted
- Your own products, services and offers
- Seasonal promotions with clear terms
- Recruitment for your own business
- Community events you are running
Not accepted
- Anything designed to look like a search result or a listing
- Claims you cannot back up, or prices that are not real
- Adult content, gambling, payday lending, or anything unlawful
- Ads for a business other than the one advertising
Advertising does not affect your listing
This matters, so it is worth stating plainly. Buying an ad does not move you up the search results, does not earn a Verified badge, and does not change how your listing is shown anywhere on the site. Ads appear in their own slots and are always labelled Sponsored. A directory people cannot trust is not worth advertising on.
You need a published listing on B2C NEXUS to advertise. Listing is free.

Six short questions and we will send you a price. It takes about two minutes, nothing is charged, and the form never asks for card details — a person reads every request before anything is booked.
